Why does dry fasting rejuvenate the body?
During dry fasting there is a more powerful rejuvenation of the organism than in other types of fasting, because the extreme, harsh conditions can not withstand sick cells, reborn, weak. They die and disintegrate. Which ones remain? Those with good organization, efficient and wise genetic engineering. Those that have not panicked, have survived and retained capacity. Thus, fasting helps to cull out the worthless, weak, sick and harmful, there is acleansing of the bodyfrom them. These are parasite cells. They do not fulfill their functions, work, duties. And it is better to get rid of them in time, not to let them die a natural death. Because in this case they have time to create similar offspring – the same dead and inoperable wrecks. As cells multiply, they divide. The offspring can’t surpass in quality. The apple doesn’t roll far from the tree. But strong cells remain after starvation, they will giveimprovement in qualitywhen dividing. Their offspring will have the properties of mother cells. When cells live in comfortable conditions they get used to constant level and volume of incoming food and water. They lose the ability to renew and repair themselves efficiently. Cells are as if lazy to start mechanisms of self-renewal of tissues.
As soon as the intake of food and water in the gastrointestinal tract stops, fundamentally new conditions of existence are created for the body.
During dry fasting, old biomolecules are “dismantled”, unstable cells die and disintegrate (at their expense, the deficit of energy and plastic substances is replenished). But at the same time new cells are synthesized that are able to survive in the changed conditions; this mechanism explains that after dry fasting thestomachis able to digest even “nails”. There is another important source that provides rejuvenation and “starvation survival” –apoptosis. Most cells in the human body live actively for only a few years. After that they age and become functionally passive, like fat cells. Even colonies of microorganisms have formed a mechanism of “food utilization” of old cells. All multicellular organisms use their old cells as a source of raw materials and energy. But as a reserve source, intended for a rainy day. In case of prolonged inactivity of the mechanism of “food utilization” such cells can and become a factory of pathological proteins causing aggression of own immune system, factors causing violation of tissue and central regulation, cells – progenitors ofcystic formations, benignand malignant tumors. They must be removed from the body. For millions of years, periods of forced starvation have been the norm in animal life. Therefore, the process of freeing multicellular organisms from superfluous, structurally or functionally atypical cells was not a problem. “A fishless meal is a crayfish.” Combining the mechanism of cellular self-purification with the mechanism of starvation survival was a successful and universal evolutionary acquisition.
American researchers have indirectly confirmed the benefits of Muslim fasting.
They were able to uncover a cellular mechanism that explains the link between fasting and longevity in humans and other mammals. Islam prescribes abstaining from food and liquid intake during the daylight hours of the month of Ramadan. Scientists David Sinclair and his colleagues found that fasting activates the genes SIRT3 and SIRT4, which prolong cell life.
Starvation helps rejuvenate the body and prolong life. According to scientists at the University of Florida, led by Dr. Christian Lewenburg.
Insufficient intake of nutrients into the body and subsequent limited delivery of them to the cells prolong their life by activating intracellular autophagy – splitting and recycling of damaged mitochondria and other cellular structures, which can then be used as new cellular material for life support. Young cells, on the other hand, have the ability to quickly recycle damaged structures from old cells and use them to build new organelles or replenish energy reserves. Unfortunately, as cells age, they lose this ability, which leads to the accumulation of damaged organelles and aging of the entire organism. Experiments that scientists have conducted on animals show that starvation increases the ability of heart cells in old animals to clean themselves by 120% and had virtually no effect on the cells of young animals. To assess the effect of limiting calorie intake on the ability of cells to get rid of toxic waste products, scientists evaluated the change in the content of certain proteins in the body depending on age and dietary patterns. It turned out that the cells of old animals, which were subjected to starvation, were characterized by a very high level of proteins, which is essential for the start of the autophagy process.
It remains interesting that activation of autophagy is particularly important primarily for cardiac cells, which contain a large number of mitochondria.
Partial recycling of damaged mitochondrial organelles is the key to maintaining the performance of cardiac muscle in the aging organism as a whole. It was also found that deformed membranes of slowly dividing or non-dividing aging cells under endogenous nutrition acquire forms similar to those of cells of young animals. That is, under dry starvation there is a process of restoration of cell barriers. The process of division of rapidly dividing cells slows down. At the same time, reorganization of the enzymatic system provides strengthening of the receptor apparatus of efferent cells (nerve endings) due to qualitative improvement of the state of enzymes of these receptors (chemoreceptors), which are embedded in the cell membrane and are able to strengthen the barrier function through activation of intracellular nucleotide cAMP. Thus, dry fasting provides complex restoration of barrier functions of cells by normalization of membranes and strengthening of the tsAMF system.
Due to the renewal of the genetic apparatus of cells during starvation, new stem cells are formed, and additional cells appear in some organs. As a result of elimination of old, damaged cells and appearance of new stem cells, the organs and tissues of the body become much younger.
