I like this type of fasting very much. It is very easy to tolerate, it can be doneat home, and it can be considered a good preparation for dry fasting. This method has a rejuvenating, cleansing effect. That is why I bring the author’s method in full….
“Shall we live for three hundred years?”
Suren Avakovich Arakelyan had a difficult military childhood among the mountains of Armenia. A big family: eight children. There was no father. To survive somehow, the mother kept a cow, sheep and birds. There was not enough fodder. The children should be fed, and the cow – whatever God sends. Each winter seemed to the children the last for their beloved Chinarka. But no, she made it. And after a year, and after two. No matter how many times Suren, already a student of zooveterinary technical school, came to his native village for vacations, rejoiced: the breadwinner was alive and not stingy on milk, although the age by cow standards is quite respectable. Instead of the usual 12 years Chinarka lived 20, and would still live, if not handed over to the meat-packing plant. Chinarka was remembered many times. Years later, Suren Arakelyan, chief veterinarian of the Moscow region state farm “Ostankino”, decided on a bold experiment. He put obese old chickens that had stopped laying eggs and were destined for slaughter on a starvation diet. No fodder – only water with a small supplement: a preparation based on herbs growing in the mountains of Armenia – Arakelyan conditionally called it anti-stress. In case of prolonged starvation the animal gets panic state, and the preparation relieves it. So, after starving the chickens came to their senses and corrected themselves – they started laying eggs again. It was a sensation. And the reason for a new, extensive and well-prepared experiment. It was conducted in 1964 in the city of Marks, Saratov region, on the basis of the Research Institute of Poultry Breeding (Suren Avakovich was sent to this institute after his post-graduate studies). A thousand Japanese record-breaking chickens had lived out, as they call it, their age. Eggs were no longer given, they were left for meat. These unpromising “old ladies” were given to Arakelyan.
We began a seven-day FPG, physiologically beneficial fasting (that’s how a scientist defines fasting with an anti-stress drug). It was a risk. Not just for the “japans.” More than a ton and a half of meat was a state good, and Arakelyan was responsible for it. A month later, a miracle came. In place of old, shabby and shriveled feathers of chickens grew new ones: silky and light. The birds became energetic, agile, the crest disappeared, the voice became high – almost chicken-like. And most importantly, rejuvenated (now you could safely use this word) chickens returned to the forgotten business of distant youth – began to lay eggs. Here are the figures from the official report: 63% of hens laid eggs a month after the FPG, and 91% a month later. So, hunger does not kill. On the contrary, reasonable, controlled, itbrings back youth. The chickens that underwent a one-month FPG began to live an average of 18 years – instead of the six years given by nature. The species life span has been extended threefold…..
The effect of returning youthfulness to farm animals is enormous.
When I arrived in Noginsk, at the head breeding enterprise of the association, I saw the legendary Crystal. The representative of the Danish black-and-white breed had lived for nine years. For bulls this age is prohibitive – their youth lasts 3-4 years, they give seedstock, then comes old age, most often interrupted at the slaughterhouse. Crystal gave 200 thousand doses of seed material during his life (an ordinary bull – not more than 50 thousand), that is as if lived four lives, and each cow born from him gave about one thousand liters of milk more than her peers. Therefore, he enjoys the fame of a highly valuable bull, a producer, a breed improver. But the long-lived cow was pitiful: he had bedsores, was broken by traumatic sciatica and seemed doomed to immobility. And new offspring were simply out of the question.
So as of September 12, 1985, I put him on FPG. The bull stopped receiving nutrition. The starvation lasted exactly one month. Crystal sharply lost weight, but he got up on his feet and started to walk and then to run. Further examination showed no signs of sciatica, potency increasedand all physiological parameters reached the level of a young healthy animal. September 24 Crystal – for the first time after a long break – gave seed. How, in your opinion, can this be considered rejuvenation? Moreover, the quality of the material became even higher than in younger years – it withstands deeper freezing, much thicker in consistency. The seed of rejuvenated Kristall will be sent to Norilsk, to the state farm “Polyarny”. Why so far away? Calves born from a record-breaking bull are more resistant to cold, less sick, better adapted to unfavorable conditions. So, just right for the North.
– So, by the example of animals you prove that life extension is a real thing? – we ask him.
– Not just life, but the best part of it – the active, productive period. Recently, a new science – juvenology – is being formed, the task of which is to prolong youth. I refer my experiments to experimental juvenology.
– Since farm animals live longer and produce better quality products, perhaps the new science is economically justified?
– You bet! Consider: one dose of seed material of Crystal costs 2 rubles 50 kopecks, for one of the last days the rejuvenated bull has already given 244 doses, it is 610 rubles a day of net profit only from one animal! (For reference. In America, one dose of seed material from such an animal costs 250 dollars.) And five-seven years ago I subjected ten high-value bulls-producers, culled for old age, to FPG. The economic effect amounted to 527 thousand 428 rubles for three years. And even higher milk yield of born cows, higher productivity of new generation bulls, higher resistance ofoffspringare not taken into account. Less diseases, less carrion – this is also profit. High-value bulls-producers, breed improvers are the main backbone of our cattle breeding. By increasing the quantity and quality of these animals (and rejuvenation, as we have seen, solves both problems simultaneously), we contribute to the realization of important tasks facing the national economy.
And one more “meridian”. Since 1976 in Kirov, in the All-Union Research Institute of Hunting and Animal Breeding named after Prof. V.M. Zhitkov, candidate of biological sciences Y.S. Zabolotsky has been carrying out very interesting work on the use of starvation, calling it “long-term food unloading of raccoon dogs in cage breeding”. For four years at the biostation of the All-Union Research Institute of Hunting and Animal Breeding he has been studying the effect of complete prolonged starvation (only water was given) on the locomotor activity and reproduction of raccoon dogs. During the winter, they received no food for up to two months in a row. The dogs felt well, and there were no cases of mortality, although no anti-stress drugs were used. In contrast to the control (fed) animals, which were lethargic and passive, the experimental animals struck with unusual for this species mobility, agility, and defensive reactions. During 40-60 days of food unloading in December-January, the experimental animals lost an average of 26.3% in weight, while the control animals lost 14% during the same period. The experimental animals gave a full litter annually. The number of pups in them increased every year, and they were larger and the number of pups per litter exceeded (compared to the control group) 5-6 individuals. The control animals, having plenty of fodder, were often unable to feed their cubs.
Scientists used to assume that the lethargy and morbidity of animals fed enough food was a consequence of cage confinement. But this same “cage confinement” somehow did not affect animals subjected to prolonged starvation. Zabolotsky points out that the method of long-term nutritional unloading in cage breeding developed by him can give a significant economic effect in industrial fur farming when keeping not only raccoon dogs, but also other animals. In 1982, the State Committee for Inventions and Discoveries issued Zabolotsky a certificate for the invention “Method of preparation of raccoon dog breeding stock for rutting” under No. 962617.
The similarity and similar conclusions of two works of biologists-innovators – S. Arakelyan and Y. Zabolotsky – in different fields of national economy attract attention, which in itself speaks about the significance of food unloading as a biological factor that causes mobilization of hidden forces of the animal organism. Similar work back in the last century was carried out by V. V. Pashutin and his pupil Dr. Zeland in Verny (Alma-Ata).
What happens during physiologically beneficial starvation? The animal’s organism as if becomes on major repairs.
Sodium leaves the cells and potassium takes its place in the intercellular space. It’s just the replacement of one chemical element with another, and similar. But sodium salts – contribute to the preservation of organic matter. With conventional nutrition in the cells as if preserved all the products of vital activity, and there is no naturalcleansing of the body. Including slags – the main cause of aging, according to the scientist.
Detoxify –prevent aging. That is why regular FPG is a reasonable prevention of the “living machine”. I tried rejuvenation on myself in 1965, when I was ill with chronic gastritis and stomach ulcer and regular treatment did not help. I fast on the first, second and third day of each month, one week once in three months, two weeks once in six months and a month once a year. At the same time I drink only water with the addition of an anti-stress drug. During the fasting days I clean my intestines twice a day, in the morning and evening, rinse my mouth with a soda solution with 10 drops of iodine per glass; I wash my ears and nose with tampons soaked in this solution, take a shower and wash myself with baby soap. FPG plus natural nutrition helped many of my acquaintances to get rid of atherosclerosis and metabolic polyarthritis, hypertension, some gastrointestinal diseases, there were cases of successful treatment after heart attack. Natural nutrition: eating only fresh plant cells and excluding food of animal origin.
I eat twice a day. One meal consists, for example, of 50 g of raisins or two raw carrots, or one orange, apple or 100 g of fresh cabbage, or 50 g of peas, beans, lentils, or 100 g of raw wheat grains, buckwheat, pearl groats. Cereals and dried fruits I soak, having previously cleaned them with hot water. Calories are enough quite enough. First, a person needs them in general three to five times less than commonly thought. Secondly, with natural nutrition and periodic fasting, the energy of the body is more rational. Meat contains the same essential amino acids as raw legumes, young nettles, vegetables and fruits. In my 56 years I do not notice the approach of old age, I still play with a pound weight easily. I hope that the program of 120 years of healthy life activity is implemented successfully.
Recipe for a therapeutic cocktail
Anti-stress preparation: it consists of six components – herbs from the mountains of Armenia.
Recipe:for 1 kilogram of a person’s weight, 0.01 g of food citric acid, 0.01 ml of mint infusion, 2 g of natural honey, 2 ml of water are taken. This is the norm for 6 days. If you weigh 80 kg and fast for 3 days, take 0.4 g of citric acid, 0.4 ml of mint infusion, 80 g of honey, 80 ml of water. Divide this into three parts and take it once a day. Citric acid is the only one of the acids that combines with calcium in the body. Calcium citric acid is a unique vital salt with alkaline properties. When it dissolves, it releases phosphorus and calcium that accumulates in bone depots. In our diet, 60% of phosphorus and calcium is in transit. By combining into ATP, citric acid “burns” releasing energy. If you drink a solution of honey with citric acid, there is no question of starvation – you get excellent nutrition (because honey also provides fructose and biologically active substances). Citric acid combines with amines to form aminolimonic acid with a negative electrical charge. And of the 21 essential amino acids, only three are negatively charged. You can use a lemon. The juice of one lemon has 10% citric acid. It is not bad to add a little soda to the water – 1 g. per 3 liters of water. Carbon dioxide gas, formed by combining baking soda with citric acid, we need it very much. During this fasting, if you feel worse, it is necessary to do enemas, in home conditions it is better to carry out a 7-day fasting.
