Neurodermatitis, eczema, psoriasis

So what does any fasting diet do for the skin?

It takes the excretory load off the skin. Without food intake, the body actively begins to excrete excess substances in all possible ways and uses them in vital activity. Gradually the internal environment of the organism is normalized – there is a balance in the body between those substances that it needs, all the excess is expelled or used.

The blood circulation of every cell of the body and, consequently, of the skin cells is improved. When the method of therapeutic fasting is applied, there is a more subtlecleansingof the body at the cellular level. The blood is purified and helps the blood vessels stay clean. Body cells are replaced, renewed, and with prolonged fasting, the entire skin is replaced. The skin becomes clean and rejuvenation of the body takes place.

There is an improvement in the functioning of ourimmune system. This will become clear from a simple example. I think each of you can easily recall such a period in your life, when psoriasis receded and you had a great result without taking medications. Usually it happened during a successful vacation, after a good daily sleep, bright positive emotions, proper and regular diet, etc. At this point, the released resources of the immune system are sometimes enough to give a successful fight to a formidable disease. Most likely, the effect is achieved by suppressing the non-contagiousretrovirus. Most scientists are inclined to the view that specific defects in the immune system, which do not allow to cope with the task of neutralizing it, just and lead to exacerbations. It is easy to see that the classic psoriatic exacerbations occur just in late fall and early spring – in the periods when the human body is most susceptible to viral diseases. The secondary problem is an increase in the level of pathogenic and conditionally – pathogenic microflora on the skin. Psoriatic rashes become a place of residence and feeding of these microorganisms, the fruits of whose vital activity aggravate the situation. Stabilization of the immune system is also achievable with the help of therapeutic fasting, but by slightly different mechanisms. Of course, it is not as fun as having a good vacation, but the result is more stable and predictable.

Normalization of metabolic processes. Patients often complain: “Again liver problems provoked an exacerbation!”. But sometimes in reality, there is an inherently inverse connection. Skin disorders have an effect on our liver. A large amount of metabolic products are removed through the skin. However, areas affected by plaques, papules and other rashes are not able to fully cope with this task. And here our liver comes to the rescue of damaged skin – takes over its work. Withdrawal of additional metabolic products, fortunately, the liver is not too overloaded. Things are not so favorable with intermediate products of metabolism, which have toxic properties. The situation is aggravated by substances that have been accumulating in the body for years under the influence of taking medications without the use of hepatoprotectors (drugs that protect our liver), as well as the result of poor diet and various abuses. They are already able to cause significant damage to our liver, and she in turn gives impetus to the formation of new rashes on the skin. The circle is closed, but there is a way out of it. Therefore, always when you have skin problems, you need to dointestinal and liver cleansing. It is obvious that removing a huge amount of harmful and ballast compounds during fasting gives a new life to all systems of our body for many months.

Normalizes water and salt metabolism. Dry skin disappears. What is most surprising during fasting is the change that happens to our skin – even after a week of fasting it becomes smooth and velvety. When you touch it, it squeaks like a baby’s. And these changes are noted by almost all starving people. Among other things, even without further proper nutrition, favorable changes in the skin remain for quite a long time, and if you stick to further proper nutrition, the changes will become permanent.

What skin diseases only fasting does not treat: various dermatitis, neurodermatitis, allergodermatitis, psoriasis, the main cause of which is liver dysfunction, pustular skin lesions, various infectious skin diseases are treated well. It will be more correct to speak about self-healing, self-healing of the organism on the background of fasting. The terms of fasting depend on the severity and duration of the disease. The more severe is the skin disease, the longer periods of fasting are recommended. Most likely, it will be necessary to conduct several courses offractional fasting lasting from 7-9 days with proper nutrition between them. In lighter forms, 5-7 day dry fasts may be enough, but everything will depend on the general state of your body. After all, skin manifestations are a kind of marker, which indicates quite significant violations in the activity of the whole organism. Therefore, it is never possible to say exactly how much you need to fast in this or that case.

Of course, one would always like to go through a healing crisis and be cured at once, but it is not always possible or necessary to accomplish such a feat.
